Mission: To increase positive environmental behaviors among students, parents, and educators in the Victoria area by serving as a community resource for information and amenities. History: Victoria Kids Recycle was designed by the City of Victoria's Environmental Service Department to be an educational paper recycling program for all elementary schools in Victoria. The program started Fall 2007 from a joint grant funded by LyondellBassell and Waste Management, with in-kind program support provided from the City of Victoria. The grant implementation period spanned Fall 2007 to Spring 2010. Sustainability: Since the programs conception, changes in the economy have made it necessary to seek outside program support in the form of sponsorships. To honor all the environmentally minded individuals and businesses that have given so generously to the program we would like to show our deepest appreciation by making an honorable mention of each below.
